Grizzly Bear cancel upcoming showsBrooklyn band Grizzly Bear have cancelled two upcoming shows which were scheduled to take place this weekend.
The four-piece will not play either of their planned shows at colleges in Middleton, CT and Bennington, VT due to a passing in the family.
They are scheduled to perform at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on April 29, before heading to Europe where they will kick off a tour on May 11.
In addition to Coachella, the band are on the bill for the Sasquatch! and Pitchfork festivals, as well as a slot opening for The Decemberists at the Central Park Summerstage in New York City.
They will play:

George, WA Sasquatch Music Festival (May 26)
Chicago, IL Pitchfork Music Festival (July 14)
New York, NY Central Park Summerstage (July 16) The White Stripes announce 'special' London show
The White Stripes have announced that they will play a "special" one-off show in London next week.
The Detroit duo are set to perform at the Rivoli Ballroom in South East London on Tuesday (June 12), in what they have dubbed an "intimate and incredible setting".
Tickets for the event go on sale on Monday (June 11), just a day before the show, via LiveNation.co.uk and Gigsandtours.com. Ticket sales will be limited to two per person.
Proceeds from the show will go to the Chelsea Pensioners' Appeal, as well as charities supported by The London Pearly Kings and Queens Society.
